About Us

All admirers of true nature and peace, will enjoy an unforgettable vacation in the pension of Strazicic family in the settlement of Pomena located in the heart of the National park Mljet. Our family has been working in tourism business for over 4 decades.

In the pension complex there is also a fish restaurant "Pomena" with a rich choice of fish and homemade specialties, local wine and brandy, goat cheese in olive oil and other delicious meals.

The island of Mljet as an Adriatic oasis of unspoiled nature is an unavoidable destination for many tourists and yachtsmen who anchor their ships in the bay of Pomena whose excellent locaton provides a true spot for an extraordinary summer vacation in the pension of the Strazicic family.

Location

Pension Strazicic is situated in the attractive bay of Pomena, it is only 300 meters away from the miraculous Small Lake, famous for its healing mud and water temperatures over 30 degrees celzius in July and August.

In the vicinity of the pension are the island of St. Mary in the Great Lake with the ancient Benedictine monastery dating from the 12-th century, remains of the late Roman palace in Polace, the view point Montokuc and other points of interest.

Surroundings

Besides the beautiful sea and wild nature you can enrich your vacation with many other additional activities.

If you are an admirer of the underwater world we offer a diving school which will show you some of the most attractive diving locations in the Adriatic with a lot of underwater life and old ship wreckage.

The area of the Mljet island and especially of the National park has many biking tracks which are among the best in Europe.

You can rent cars, scooters, bicycles, canoes, kayaks, windsurf boards to explore the island by yourself.

For the sailing - fans we offer a sailing school with our instructors and if that is too much, you can experience the magic of sailing on a half or full day excursions.
