Pomena bay

Pomena is a small village as well as a harbour located at the west end of Island of Mljet, about 15 minutes walking to Malo Jezero (Small Lake) of Mljet National Park

Small Bridge

One way or other you'll eventually notice the Small bridge which is between Big and Small lake, upon a channel that delivers water in and out of the small lake. It is made of stone and there's public beach next to it with some kiosks, too...

Benedictine monastery

Over the course of centuries, numerous chronicles, dissertations and other literary works have been written here. Located within the monastery is the church of St Mary.

Polače bay

Polace has a number of ancient ruins dating from the 1st to the 6th Centuries. However, of greatest significance is the Roman palace from 2nd Century whose walls dominates place.

Pomena & NP lakes

Pomena, as a bay, is a very safe place for anchorage, being sheltered by tiny island of Pomestak, which acts as a local naturist beach too.

Blace beach

Blace beach is a small beach located in the southeastern part of the island of Mljet, only a 20 minute walk from the town of Saplunara. The beach is ideal for families with children, couples and all those who want to spend their vacation far from the crowds.

St. Mary

Standing on a tiny island in the middle of a lake, on an island in the Adriatic Sea – St Mary’s Monastery gives new meaning to the word ‘secluded’. A short boat ride across glass-clear waters takes you to the 12th century building, inarguably one of Croatia’s most picturesque points.

Pomena & surrounding bays

Walking and cycling are allowed all around National Park Mljet. Some parts of the Nationa Park can be reached by car too. National Park Mljet offers a lot of silence and numerous islolated spots to be enjoyed.
